Job Description

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Administration Officer to join our team at our Oakey branch. This is a hands-on administrative position at the centre of branch operations. The role supports customers, drivers and the production team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site. You will be a key contact for customers and play an important role in order processing, data accuracy and end-of-month administration.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for customers, answering phones and responding to the branch inbox
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Liaise with customers regarding orders, deliveries and general enquiries
  • Assist the Branch Manager with end-of-month and general administrative tasks
  • Complete data entry relating to orders, stock movements, invoicing and branch documentation
  • Support stocktake processes and maintain accurate records
  • Provide administrative support across branch operations, including production paperwork and goods handling documentation
  • Update and maintain key branch reports such as grain sheets, raw material deliveries and DIFOT reporting

Desired Skills and Experience

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administration role, preferably within an agricultural, industrial or operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry and documentation
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to deal with customers and team members professionally
  • Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and internal systems
  • The ability to work independently while also supporting the broader branch team
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute across different areas of the branch
