Job Description
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Administration Officer to join our team at our Oakey branch. This is a hands-on administrative position at the centre of branch operations. The role supports customers, drivers and the production team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site. You will be a key contact for customers and play an important role in order processing, data accuracy and end-of-month administration.
Your key responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for customers, answering phones and responding to the branch inbox
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
Liaise with customers regarding orders, deliveries and general enquiries
Assist the Branch Manager with end-of-month and general administrative tasks
Complete data entry relating to orders, stock movements, invoicing and branch documentation
Support stocktake processes and maintain accurate records
Provide administrative support across branch operations, including production paperwork and goods handling documentation
Update and maintain key branch reports such as grain sheets, raw material deliveries and DIFOT reporting
Desired Skills and Experience
What we’re looking for:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administration role, preferably within an agricultural, industrial or operational environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry and documentation
Confident communication skills and the ability to deal with customers and team members professionally
Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and internal systems
The ability to work independently while also supporting the broader branch team
A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute across different areas of the branch
