Job Description
About the role
We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and gets satisfaction from keeping things balanced and up to date.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly — from processing customer payments and reconciling accounts, through to supporting credit control and helping manage cash flow across the business. You’ll work closely with our Finance team, branch operations and customers to resolve queries, keep records accurate, and make sure everything lines up as it should.
Your key responsibilities:
Process and allocate incoming customer payments across multiple accounts and currencies
Maintain accurate customer accounts and perform regular reconciliations
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unallocated payments
Support onboarding of new customers and maintain account documentation
Prepare debtor reports and statements to support credit control activities
Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve account queries
Assist with month-end processes, reporting, and audit requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
Our Ideal candidate will possess:
A minimum of two years’ experience in an accounts receivable role or a similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting or ERP systems
A strong attention to detail and the ability to process financial information accurately
A proactive approach with a natural sense of ownership over their work
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
The ability to work through ambiguity and use judgement to resolve issues
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Sound decision-making skills, including knowing when to escalate
