Job Description

About the role

We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and gets satisfaction from keeping things balanced and up to date.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly — from processing customer payments and reconciling accounts, through to supporting credit control and helping manage cash flow across the business. You’ll work closely with our Finance team, branch operations and customers to resolve queries, keep records accurate, and make sure everything lines up as it should.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Process and allocate incoming customer payments across multiple accounts and currencies
  • Maintain accurate customer accounts and perform regular reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unallocated payments
  • Support onboarding of new customers and maintain account documentation
  • Prepare debtor reports and statements to support credit control activities
  • Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve account queries
  • Assist with month-end processes, reporting, and audit requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

Our Ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in an accounts receivable role or a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting or ERP systems
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to process financial information accurately
  • A proactive approach with a natural sense of ownership over their work
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
  • The ability to work through ambiguity and use judgement to resolve issues
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound decision-making skills, including knowing when to escalate

If this sounds like your next move, apply today!

Applications may close earlier than the listed closing date. Riverina is an equal-opportunity employer.  This opportunity is not eligible for sponsorship.
