Job Description
About the role
We have two exciting opportunities available at our Head Office for experienced finance professionals to join our team—one in Accounts Payable (AP) and the other in Accounts Receivable (AR). Each role plays a vital part in managing the full function of their respective areas and ensuring the smooth financial operation of the business. The roles report directly to the Financial Controller, based at our Oakey Branch.
Your key responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Accurately and promptly process supplier invoices and credit notes
Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
Monitor the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor queries professionally
Prepare end of month reports and accruals
Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Maintain accurate records and filing systems for audit and compliance purposes
Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant accounting standards
Provide general accounts support to the CFO and Financial Controller as required
Accounts Receivable
Allocate incoming payments and perform daily banking and receipting
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies
Monitor the accounts receivable inbox and respond to customer queries professionally
Monitor bank accounts daily for payments from overdue customers
Manage the onboarding process for new customers, including credit applications
Prepare reports and documentation for management on outstanding accounts
Complete month end AR reports and reconciliations
Maintain up to date records in line with company and audit requirements
Provide general accounts support to the CFO and Financial Controller as required
Desired Skills and Experience
Our Ideal candidate will possess:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts role, preferably in a manufacturing or agricultural environment.
Strong people skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to improve engagement and productivity.
Excellent problem solving abilities and a resourceful approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SAP, or similar).
