About the role
We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our team at our Oakey branch. This pivotal role is essential for accelerating our growth and expanding our market presence across the Western Queensland region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in not only achieving but also surpassing sales quotas through effective client relationship management and strategic business development. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales success and expanding our reach in the competitive Australian market.
Your key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets for the territory.
- Maintain regular client engagement, acting as the main contact point, to deliver high-level service and support.
- Collaborate with the Nutrition team to address and resolve technical client issues, enhancing client satisfaction.
- Represent Riverina at events, tradeshows and promotional campaigns
- Build and maintain effective professional relationships with key individuals in existing and potential client accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments.
- Provide regular feedback to management on customer needs and market conditions.
- Track sales metrics and contribute to product launch activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and resolution of issues.
Our Ideal candidate would possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field (highly desirable).
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a sales role, preferably within the feed, agriculture, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
- Experience using CRM systems (highly desirable).
- Strong sales acumen, including negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
- Extensive product and industry knowledge with the ability to translate client needs into comprehensive solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
- Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of the Western Queensland market through sales experience (highly desirable).
