As our new Animal Nutritionist, you will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, and your key responsibilities will be:
· Lead the formulation, analysis, and cost management of Riverina branded feeds and contracted business partners product.
· Ensure formulations meet nutritional requirements and quality standards without compromising on cost-effectiveness.
· Collaborate with external nutritionists managing formulation requirements.
· Provide nutritional guidance on products to Sales Managers and customers.
· Stay abreast of trends in animal nutrition and integrate beneficial advancements.
· Maintain a comprehensive database for ingredient specifications, testing procedures, and quality assurance.
· Adhere to regulatory standards and legislation in all processes.
· Design and deliver educational materials and programs on animal nutrition.
· Author and maintain product information and related published material.
· Lead research trials, product innovation, and development opportunities.
The Ideal candidate will possess:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Rural Science, Animal Science, or related field.
· 5 years’ experience in ruminant and mono-gastric animal nutrition.
· Proficiency in nutritional formulation software.
· Strong technical skills with a problem-solving approach.
· Provide clear nutritional advice with a focus on customer engagement.
· Experience in product development and project management.
· Excellent team engagement, detail-orientation, and organisational skills.
· Knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
· Proficient and adaptable in the use of various software packages.
